The Milesight SCT01 is a handheld tool for configuring LoRaWAN devices over NFC. Press a button, hold it against the sensor, done. Sixteen megabytes of memory holds up to 50 configuration profiles, so an entire batch can be commissioned identically without a phone or laptop in hand.

Anyone who has commissioned sensors from a phone knows the routine: find the NFC coil by trial and error, hold still, watch it fail, try again. On a job with fifty devices that becomes hours. The SCT01 exists to remove that friction.
The reading area is far larger than a handset's, with printed zone markings that show exactly where to place the device, and Milesight quotes a transfer success rate above 99.9%. Seven buttons cover the whole workflow, including powering sensors on and off, pushing a saved configuration and running a firmware upgrade. Three sets of LED indicators and an audible buzzer confirm each action, so an engineer up a ladder or in a plant room knows the write has landed without squinting at a screen.
Sixteen megabytes of internal storage holds fifty separate profiles plus one firmware image, which means one tool can serve several sites or several device types on the same visit. Profiles and operation logs export over Bluetooth 4.0 at close range, giving a record of what was applied to which unit, useful for handover documentation and for diagnosing a problem later.
A 2,000 mAh internal cell supports around six hours of continuous read and write work, with an intelligent sleep mode stretching standby to roughly a month between charges. Charging is over USB Type-C, and that same port can supply power to a sensor during setup. At 160 mm long and 141 grams, it drops into a tool bag without thought, and it operates from -20 to 60°C.
Because setup no longer depends on a specific phone, a downloaded app or an account login, installation crews and subcontractors can deploy devices to a specification set by someone else entirely.
Note that the SCT01 configures devices only. For checking LoRaWAN coverage and signal quality on site, the FT101 field tester is the companion product.
