FAQ

How do smart temperature sensors work?

Smart temperature sensors provide measurements on temperature levels and fluctuations in a given space by generating a voltage or resistance through two pieces of metal when a change occurs in the atmospheric temperature. You can read more in our blog post 'How Do Smart Temperature Sensors Work?' where we go into more depth.

What happens if a smart temperature sensor fails?

In the event a temperature smart sensor fails, there can be various problems that arise depending on the system it monitors. This can cause HVAC systems to malfunction and lead to uncomfortable working environments, inefficient operation, and high energy bills. Failure can occur for a multitude of reasons, such as mechanical stress where excess vibration and stress have caused the internal parts to break or fall apart; lead wire damage from heat, bending, abrasions, or chemicals; temperature limits being exceeded; moisture infiltration and corrosion. Be sure to test your sensors regularly.
