Milesight EM400-MUD Multifunctional Ultrasonic Distance/Level Sensor

The Milesight EM400-MUD LoRaWAN® Multifunctional Ultrasonic Distance Sensor is designed for reliable distance and fill-level monitoring across applications such as smart waste management and parking occupancy detection. It uses ultrasonic technology to provide accurate measurements across a range of 3 to 450 cm, with a resolution of 1 mm.

For waste management applications, the EM400-MUD can monitor fill levels in medium and large containers. A built-in 3-axis accelerometer can detect bin lid or device position, while an integrated NTC temperature sensor can identify abnormal temperature increases that may indicate combustion.

The sensor supports Standard, Bin and Parking Lot operating modes, with Parking Lot Mode available on the LoRaWAN® version. This flexibility allows one device to support several different monitoring requirements.

Its rugged IP67-rated enclosure provides protection against dust and water, making it suitable for demanding outdoor environments.

Replaceable high-capacity batteries can provide more than 10 years of operation in Standard and Bin modes under specified LoRaWAN® conditions, supporting long-term deployments with reduced maintenance requirements.
