Milesight EM400-TLD ToF Laser Distance Sensor

The Milesight EM400-TLD LoRaWAN® ToF Laser Distance Sensor is designed for accurate fill-level and distance monitoring, making it particularly suitable for small and mini waste bins. Using Time of Flight (ToF) laser technology, it offers a detection range of 2 to 350 cm with accuracy of ±2 cm and a resolution of 1 mm.

Alongside fill-level monitoring, the EM400-TLD incorporates a 3-axis accelerometer to detect device tilt and bin lid status. A built-in temperature sensor can also identify abnormal temperature increases, helping provide early warning of potential combustion within waste containers.

Using LoRaWAN® connectivity, sensor readings and alerts can be transmitted wirelessly to compatible gateways and IoT platforms for remote monitoring. Standard and Bin operating modes simplify deployment for common distance and waste management applications.

An IP67-rated enclosure provides protection against dust and water, while replaceable batteries can deliver approximately 10 years of operation under specified LoRaWAN® conditions.
