Using a high-sensitivity magnetic contact, the SS21 can detect whether doors, lids or gates are open or closed. This makes it particularly useful for monitoring refrigerated units, storage areas, server cabinets and other locations where access or enclosure status needs to be tracked.
The sensor includes a 1.5-metre cable, providing flexibility when positioning the magnetic contact away from the main TS30x sensor. It connects directly to compatible TS301 or TS302 devices, allowing temperature and open/close status to be monitored through a single LoRaWAN® node.
The SS21 can support automated alerts when a monitored door or enclosure is left open, helping reduce energy waste, protect temperature-sensitive assets and improve operational oversight.
